This week we unpack with Jana Landon, HBCU Outreach Specialist for Google who was recently named as one of Forbes Magazine’s illustrious 30 under 30.
Jana believes strongly in the equalizing force of technology and in paying opportunities forward. In 2010, she joined Google as a Global Diversity and Inclusion intern in the Bay Area. Since then, she’s designed and executed many diversity-focused student pipeline programs and internships. She also managed Google New York’s relationship with the tech education nonprofit, Black Girls CODE. Currently, her team runs Google in Residence, a program that sends Google engineers to teach computer science at 13 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs).
